Twenty-eight year old Honey Huckleberry leads a very ordered and restricted life as she travels the Gulf Coast as a publishing company rep. Every minute of every day is planned out in advance, and she likes it that way. Raised by elderly parents, she continues to lead a quiet life after their passing until a single phone call brings her daily world crashing into a shocking shambles.

Honey has three Stevens in her daily life. A fourth Steven disrupts her orderly life with a cryptic phone call telling of an imminent murder. When she discovers the murdered body of one of her Stevens (her auto mechanic) in her home, she is determined to discover who murdered him and why. When her long time Steven #2 from high school shows up, she knows she has help she can count on, and together they start to investigate the murder and the mysterious phone call from the fourth Steven.

As her daily routine and quiet life change drastically, Honey discovers a momentous secret that her father left for her that will continue to change life as she knows it. With the help of Steven #3, her bookkeeper, Honey and Steven #2 continue to get new clues to the murder of Steven #1. Can Honey survive all these changes and learn to roll with the punches or will she flounder and sink? Can she find Steven #4 before anyone else dies?

This was a totally engrossing story with life-like characters, a great mystery plot, and lots of action. The murder plot was especially well done with lots of twists and turns that kept me guessing right to the surprising ending. I highly recommend it to any cozy or mystery fan wanting a good read.
