I am a big fan of Alan Cumming--his movies, TV, theatre, and from his hosting of Masterpiece Mysteries. He is an amazing talent! When a children's picture book showed up in my mail that was written by Alan Cumming, and illustrated by his husband and well-known illustrator Grant Shaffer, I couldn't wait to check it out!

The Adventures of Honey & Leon are Alan and Grant's imaginings of the trouble that their dogs get into when they are away. Honey is a rescue mutt, and Leon is a Chihuahua. The dogs have a great life but their only problem is that their dads travel a lot. On this one summer day when the dads go out of town, they decide to follow them and end up on a grand adventure! The story is fun and sweet and the illustrations are wonderful!
