Congratulations on Number 100!
Kathi Daley
Kathi Daley began her writing career in 2013 with the release of Halloween Hijinks from her Zoe Donovan Mystery series. Six years, eleven series, and One Hundred books later, she has garnered an eager and loyal fan base of which I count myself one, earned regular four & five-star book ratings, and achieved USA Today bestselling author status. Along with entertaining fans with her writing, she blogs, puts on fun contests, attends events, and collects recipes from her fans to include in several of her series. She has a series for every cozy taste with clever mysteries, endearing characters, criminals “karma”ized (It's a word!), clean romance, a sense of community, and a variety of “fur” or “feathered” friends.

Congratulations, Kathi Daley! Here’s to next 100!

Mail’s Here!
First published in 2017 with The Christmas Letter, her now six-book Tess and Tilly Cozy Mystery follows Tess Thomas in White Eagle, Montana, partnered with Tilly her golden retriever. As a postal carrier, she makes rounds delivering mail and joining in polite, sometimes gossipy, conversation. As an amateur sleuth, she uses a delightful plethora of two-legged and four-legged friends and family each with their own valuable role in determining suspects, uncovering motives, and finding solutions to mysteries, mayhem, and murder. Additionally Tess and boyfriend/tech wiz Tony Marconi are working together to uncover details behind her father’s death fifteen years ago which has recently been put into question…a letter, photos, a disturbing phone call, and hits from a facial identification program have added to the mystery.

The Saint Paddy’s Promise earns 5/5 Happy Endings & Justice…Clever!

Mystery and murder seems to have been delivered with first class postage!

The mystery of true love has torn at Tess’s heart. Sixty years ago Elizabeth and Patrick met, fell in love, and promised to marry despite some family opposition. Patrick left to tie up some family ends making plans to meet on St. Patrick’s Day when the two would run away and start a new life together. However, Patrick never returned, and for the last sixty years, now Nana, makes her annual St. Paddy pilgrimage hoping against hope he’d finally return. Can Tess and Tony use their sleuthing skills to bring closure, or Patrick, to Elizabeth?

The murder has shocked residents of White Eagle. Brick Brannigan, described as a nice and popular guy, is the owner the local bar, but his body has been found…victim of a violent crime. Rumors fly about criminal activity and bad employees, but the curious clues of packages, letters, and DNA results stump both the authorities and amateur sleuths. What was Brick investigating? Finding roots or family? Finding connections to a crime? How does any of this support murder?

Very engaging and hard to put down! Tess and Tilly Mystery has become one of my favorite Kathi Daley series, and this sixth book is top notch with more than one mystery, great characters, close relationships, and several “fur” friends. Kathi’s writing style centers around a first-person narrative from Tess’s perspective as she lays out the clues, scenarios, and strategies for uncovering the mystery with realistic banter. And since no one investigates 24/7, Kathi always shares the lives and community connections with delightful side stories: Tess and Tony continuing to grow in their relationship, ins and outs of the adoption center and dog training, and wedding ups and downs for BFF Bree and brother Mike. Newbies can easily join the series here, but the evolution of relationships and especially the mystery surrounding Tess’s father have been slowly unfolding throughout the books. I wanted more, though, about the mysteries and murder. Kathi often summarizes important phone calls or conversations or computer searches after the fact instead of real time, and when a mystery started in the past, she does not employ flashbacks that I'd find engaging. But it's realism she captures! I still am totally entertained.

Be a Big Kathi Daley Fan!
“Come for the Murder, Stay for the Romance!” Kathi Daley has ten other series offering something for every cozy taste including “fur” friends and close relationship between family and friends. She has a great social media community of fans and can be followed on Goodreads and BookBub.
