Jude Dillane owns the Corner Lounge in New York City. When she finds the dead body of her friend and landlord Sully Sullivan’s co-worker dead in Sully's apartment, the police call it a suicide. Sully is sure it was murder because Ed wanted to meet with Sully about problems that he had found at their workplace, Big City Food Coop. Big City arranged food and cash donations for city wide food banks.

Sully persuades Jude to go undercover in Big City's office and track down the files and information that Ed had found that made him suspicious that someone was embezzling donations. As Jude goes to work in the office, Sully has a suspicious accident on the loading dock. Then when another co-worker who wanted to meet them has a fatal car accident, Jude and Sully know they are getting closer to the truth and the villain responsible for the fraud and murders. Can they discover the culprit before the murderer takes them out?

This was a fast and thrilling read. The characters are realistic and well drawn. The fraud and murder plot is well done and sets you up for a challenging read. The bar and office backgrounds are well done and lets you envision both environments. This is a great read for any mystery or cozy fan.
