Ten in Paradise!

Tj Jensen has been involved in investigating mayhem and murder since Kathi Daley introduced the Tj Jensen Mystery series in 2013 with Pumpkins in Paradise, so Thanksgiving is a special anniversary. Through those six years she was joined by her dad, grandfather, two young half-sisters, BFF Jenna Elston, and two relationships that took time to work themselves out. Her relationship with Hunter Hansen, local doctor, had been close for along time, but she’s now with Kyle Donovan, computer expert and member of the town council. As much as maintaining a friendship with Hunter is important, it is, of course, awkward. With all the mayhem that seems to have arrived in Serenity, Nevada, the one thing that is constant is the close relationships between all these friends and family.

Thanksgiving in Paradise earns 5/5...Explosive Entertainment!
BOOM! “Am I dead?” Two dead. Four injured. Tj recalls an explosion, darkness, and a memory of playing chess with her late friend, then...wet, debris, and pain. Kyle has already been taken to the hospital, but no word yet on his condition. How could this happen? Trick or treating had been interrupted with a vague text calling for an emergency meeting of the town’s council. As a member Kyle had raised concerns over the increase of meetings behind closed doors, and even though some thought it best to debate sensitive issues out of the public eye, he was uncomfortable with the lack of transparency. But soon after arriving, Tj in tow, an explosive device went off. Was someone targeted? Was this just poorly executed? And why was the meeting called in the first place? All intriguing questions to challenge Tj and Kyle as they evaluate possible motives, interrogate possible suspects, and navigate more possible peril.

Wow! Kathi Daley grabs readers right off with a BANG! in the tenth book of her Tj Jensen Mystery series. The mystery is clever with secrets exposed, shocking revelations made public, and learning sometimes people are not who they seem, all of which kept me turning the page...quickly! Kathi Daley’s signature writing style immerses readers with vivid descriptions (one can almost feel the aftermath of the explosion along with the tension) and dialogue that illustrates various personalities and emotions, but it’s always the characters that stand out. She creates a set of characters that often have traits and connections with which readers can identify as family, friends, and neighbors. This makes this series and others extra enjoyable. Newbies just need to know a lot has transpired in the series, but this tenth book can stand by itself...KABOOM! You’ll love it!
