Do you have a deck of Tarot cards? A Ouija board hidden in a drawer? How about a bag of Norse runes?

You don’t need to have any of them, or even believe in them, to enjoy The Nora Pigeon Mysteries, a collection of three novellas by Krista Lynn, starring a plucky solver of mysteries who uses mystical methods and keen powers of observation that mystify and embarrass her nephew Thomas, a sheriff’s detective.
Nora’s good friend is a writer of racy vampire novels, but the first novella Blue Moon Blues, puts the woman in the hands of vultures from her own family and she gets sick—and even her Great Danes are sick. Nora figures things out with her Tarot cards and a Ouija board. Another mystery, The Doused Witch, involves dowsers who hunt for water with divining rods and murder. The book closes with The Rune of Her, where the theft of a set of runes and an inscription is solved by clues in another message of runes.
If you believe in the world of divination through cards and spiritual contact, these stories will be a delight. If you aren’t a believer, this is fun fantasy entertainment with some clever detective work by an amateur sleuth.
