Details on how to win a copy of this book at the end of the review and links to purchase it.

Quinn Caine is a bookbinder which comes in handy because her parents own a bookstore. Quinn taught English as a Second Language in out of the way places around the world but now has come home to stay. The townspeople are welcoming, except for Trina and Tricia, twins. They’re now successful realtors so why should they worry about Quinn?

Over three years ago, Quinn dated Scott for a couple of weeks. It seems Tricia is afraid Quinn wants him back. Nothing could be farther from the truth. However, Quinn would like to get closer to Aiden, her brother’s best friend and Quinn’s secret crush since she was a pre-teen. He’s now a police detective.

After a rather public blowup, Quinn and Tricia are able to make peace. There were no witnesses to that which made for problems when Tricia’s body was found by no other than Quinn, walking her dog, in the middle of the night.

One of the major changes that came about when Quinn was overseas was her cousin entered the Anglican convent to become a nun. Quinn can’t even imagine it. However, Sister Daria has some leeway with her duties and is able to assist when Quinn investigates Tricia’s murder on her own. Does it tie in with a mysterious death a few months ago under similar circumstances?

Scott’s mother hated Tricia, there was a man who was obsessed with Tricia who encouraged him, and others on the suspect list but most had what looks to be iron clad alibis. Quinn comes under scrutiny because of their argument and because she found the body, but she wasn’t a serious suspect. When Quinn’s dog, Ruff Barker Ginsburg, is fed a poisoned treat, all bets are off, and Quinn is more than ready to confront a killer.

This is the first in the series with A Midsummer Night's Scheme coming in May 2021, available for pre-order now.
