Fresno Bully Rescue: Karma

Karma
In rescue we don’t do any of it alone; we rely on others daily to assist in saving lives. We trust in shelter administrators, workers, our volunteers, foster families and adopters. A section of the community that sometimes is missed are good Samaritans who find lost animals. These people work hard and sacrifice much to keep dogs safe until they can go to rescue. This can be very disruptive to a household, especially if they have pets of their own. But, they do it anyway and their hearts are huge.

One such heart is Chris Cissel who has supported us for years. He is in real estate and recently was working on a property where two dogs were abandoned and in need of help. Karma and Weda were two of four dogs that were housed there. It was revealed that the owner took the smaller dogs but left Karma and Weda. Chris contacted us and we took in both dogs. We could not believe that these girls were left behind. Not only were they beautiful, but are two of the most affectionate, sweethearts we have cared for. Karma had a bad case of mange but is recovering nicely. Weda (now Jada) was adopted quickly but Karma is still awaiting her forever family. Karma is a senior at nine years old, but still has spunk and so much to give. This sugar sweet lady is ready to find a soft couch to call her own. She does well with small dogs and requires very little exercise. She loves belly rubs and snuggles.

Karma is Chris Cissel’s dog of the month for February at Caldwell Banker. We are reducing her adoption fee by $25 and Chris is sponsoring the new lucky adoptive parents with a 40 pound bag of food, a collar, leash, toys, dog bed, and treats! Will you be her Valentine?
