Details at the end of this post on how to enter to win a copy of the book and a link to purchase it. We also have details for the book launch for Battle for the Land of Sweets happening on December 2.Author Kaitlyn King brings eager fans a brand new series to read during Christmas, The Christmas Realm Chronicles. Her talented writing brings to life four realistic characters while drawing a new and different angle to familiar characters in the age-old Nutcracker tale. She brings all of them together in Battle for the Land of Sweets.

This Christmas Ethan and Felicity have their cousins Oliver and Nadine joining them for the holidays. Their presence in the household, however, causes conflict among the adults and kids alike. Ethan searches for a job and finds an apprenticeship with an eccentric man who seems to be a little too into the spirit of Christmas. Meanwhile, Nadine is trying to still feel the magic of Christmas in her life - but she becomes very concerned when the older kids go missing.

Ethan, Felicity, and Oliver are all present when Ethan’s boss is kidnapped by strange looking figures and they chase him into a magical Christmas realm filled with delights and ever-looming dangers. On a quest to leave the Christmas realm before it’s too late, the three kids embark on a journey of self-discovery which helps them towards a very special being and a final battle for the Land Of Sweets.

As the team edges closer and closer toward their end goal, they meet obstacles that seem impossible to overcome. And when they think they can’t make it any further, they meet a special person who gives them the hope, strength, and physical tools to carry on. This was one of my favorite parts of the book, because it serves as an allegory to how so many people often find Jesus.

This book is a delight to read because the author combines fantasy, a twist on the tale of the Nutcracker, and a closer personal aspect into a delightful, exciting, fun read that will draw readers in like any good book will. It has an engaging plot, and a fun sense of humor that pops up in the best places. Fans of Kaitlyn King’s writing, or new readers, this book is for you!
