Whew! This book is crammed full of favorite characters and visitors, new plots and subplots, beginning and ending romances––at least one of which concludes in, you guessed it: murder. With all these people running around a small, seaside Long Island town in a snowstorm, it’s not surprising that danger may lurk in any corner for Danika Delaney and her lovable cadre of relatives and friends. |

To begin, a super-popular, mean-girl YouTube reviewer shows up in Dani’s hometown with two BFFs––as well as two boyfriends. When a blizzard strands them, they refuse to believe Dani’s coffee-and-ice cream café is closed. They burst in, demand full menus of food, and depart without paying, only to return to try to extort money for a good review. With their thousands of YouTube followers, this is serious. But where is Dani going to get the $10,000 they demand? She’s only been back in town for a short time, having taken over the café from her uncle when his health began to deteriorate. So far, the profits have been less than meager.
Dani is backed up by her geeky part-time employee and her long-time best friend, as well as her fashionable younger sister. The siblings use irresistible dinners at their mother’s house to reward friends, and to scout for rumors to help track down the murderer when Dani, herself, becomes a suspect in the crime.
A deepening connection with the hot new detective in town looks like it could teeter toward a full-blown romance. If only Dani could stay out of his murder investigations long enough for the two of them to figure out their real feelings for each other. And stay far enough away so that she is not in the line of … uh oh, too late.
