And, as a normal twenty-something, Nelly takes time for plenty of drinks, lattes, and sunsets; after all it is Hawaii. However, this December Nelly also has to solve a golf course double-murder because her roommate’s parents and maybe even her own golf-pro boyfriend are suspects. And her roommate is getting married in a few days. No pressure.
Nelly is the creation of author Rosalie Spielman, one of several authors who write Aloha Lagoon mysteries. Spielman writes with deftness and confidence, balancing a cozy mystery feel with a set of serious suspects and credible motivations. I guess I don’t have to tell you she wraps it all up neatly in time for Nelly’s roommate’s Hawaiian-style wedding on Christmas Eve. Mele Kalikimaka.
