In Murder for Shore, Daphne Wright has packed up her life and moved to Saltwater Bay, to live in the beach house she inherited after her grandmother’s unexpected death. However, a human skull washes up with the tide the morning of Daphne’s arrival, and it’s clear that this is a case of murder. Once the skull is identified, the police suspect that Daphne’s grandmother was somehow involved. Daphne knows this can’t be true, so she and her handsome neighbor Grayson begin a whirlwind investigation.

This is 99 pages of mysterious fun! I am always amazed when authors can write such a well plotted and twisty mystery in such a short amount of pages, and that’s just what we have in Murder for Shore. The action begins immediately and does not let up until the end, with a nail-biting reveal.

Daphne is a fun character who embraces both the good and bad that life throws her way. Her friendship with Grayson is delightful, as they balance each other and make a great pair. Daphne also has a great sense of humor and a love of life that is contagious.

The descriptions of Saltwater Bay had me wanting to pack my bags for a visit with Daphne. I could hear the ocean and feel the sun as I read.

This is such a clever premise to have two series tied together and feature a novella written by a character – very Murder, She Wrote, but in its own unique and beachy way. I know I’m certainly excited to get my hands on The Write Way to Die for more mysterious fun and connections.
