If you are a fan of urban fantasy you won’t want to miss Paranormal Payback, an urban fantasy anthology filled with top name authors from that genre like Jim Butcher, Holly Black, Kim Harrison, Faith Hunter, and many others. The premise of the stories is “payback” or revenge/getting even.
I personally picked this one up because I am a huge fan of Jim Butcher’s Dresden Files series and there is a story set in that world. I have also enjoyed some of Faith Hunter’s other short stories and her books are on my very high TBR list.

Author Holly Black’s story is called “Dying Isn’t Just for
the Young” and it follows an elderly widow reckoning with family scheming to
take away her independence in a world infected by a disease of vampirism.
Faith Hunter’s story is called “Razors and Revenge.” Vampire bounty hunter
Shiloh is awaiting her judgement at the hands of the Dark Queen, fresh off a
brutal werewolf attack and the loss of a dear friend. But Shiloh’s not just a
vampire anymore—and the wolfish instincts growing inside her are howling for
blood.
Kim Harrison’s story “Dog-eared” is set in her series of the Hollows. The demon Algaliarept makes a bargain with the dangerously insane Newt, the last female demon, to punish an arrogant wizard for abusing his precious magical texts.
Other authors included are Jennifer Blackstream, Maurice Broaddus, Delilah S. Dawson, Kevin Hearne, Tanya Huff, Kerrie L. Hughes, R. L. King, and R.R. Virdi.
If you enjoy urban fantasy, this is a perfect way to get introduced to some authors maybe you hadn’t tried before, and to enjoy new stories from authors you love. Paranormal Payback is a lot of fun and who doesn’t love a good revenge story!
